Privacy Policy

Mobber is a personal workout and nutrition tracker. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. The short version: we store the data you log so we can show it back to you, we never sell it or share it with anyone for their own purposes, and you can export or delete all of it at any time.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and a display name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive only the email and name they share, and we use them for identity alone. Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real one.
• Profile: the optional answers from setup (sex, birth date, height, activity level, goal), used only to suggest starting targets, and an optional profile picture stored in your account.
• What you log: workouts (exercises, sets, reps, weights, notes), food entries, recipes, body-weight entries, and nutrition goals.
• Device basics: your time zone, so days line up with your clock. We do not collect precise location, contacts, or your device's advertising identifier.

Why we store it

Everything above exists to provide the service to you: to show your history, work out your goals, and keep your account in sync between the app and the website. We do not use it for advertising, we do not build profiles to sell, and we do not share it with data brokers or marketing partners.

How we use AI

Some features send what you give them to Anthropic's Claude API so the app can do the reading for you:

• Snap a label: a photo of a nutrition label is sent to read the facts into a food entry.
• Recipe import: a photo, pasted text, or a link to a recipe is sent to turn it into ingredients and servings, and to estimate the cooked weight when you do not know it.

We keep the extracted facts and a hash of each image for 30 days so an identical re-upload does not need a second scan. We do not keep the photos. Anthropic processes these requests under its commercial API terms and does not use them to train its models. Ingredients the catalog does not know are looked up in the USDA FoodData Central database; only the ingredient name is sent, never anything about you.

Apple Health

Apple Health is optional and off until you turn it on in Settings. When it is on, Mobber reads your body weight from Health and writes the weigh-ins and finished workouts you log back to it, all on your device. Health data never leaves your device except a weight you choose to import into your own Mobber account. We never use Health data for advertising or marketing, and we never share it with third parties. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app under Sources.

Who else sees it

• Service providers: your data is stored in our own database hosted by Supabase (Postgres, in the United States) and served by Vercel. Sign-in runs through Supabase Auth, Sign in with Apple, and Google Sign-In. These companies process data on our behalf and under our instructions only.
• Other users: your logs are private to your account. The exercise and food catalogs are shared, but nothing in them identifies who logged what. A food you create yourself is visible only to you.
• Apple: subscriptions are billed by Apple. We receive confirmation that your subscription is active, never your payment details.
• The law: we will disclose data if legally required to, and we will tell you unless we are not allowed to.

Your choices and rights

• Export: download your logs as CSV or JSON from Settings on the web.
• Delete: Settings → Delete account removes your account and every log, photo, and recipe you created. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
• Correct: every entry, goal, and profile field can be edited in the app.

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to have it deleted, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law. If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Our legal basis for processing is performing our contract with you, and your consent for the optional features above. Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our hosting providers. We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account it is removed from our live database immediately; copies in our hosting provider's backups age out on their regular schedule, typically within a few weeks.

Children

Mobber is not for children. You must be at least 13 to use it, or at least 16 in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger, and we delete it if we learn we have.
